What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is based on the principal that the body is mapped out on the feet. It is a holistic approach for mind, body and soul, and can be applied to the feet, hands, ears and face. Pressure is applied to the nerve endings and reflex points that correspond to all of the organs and systems of the body.
A reflexologist will work with their clients on an individual basis to help them achieve improved health and wellbeing on a emotional & physical level. Stimulating the nerve endings/reflexes on the feet is extremely helpful in bringing clients back into the parasympathetic nervous system, which gives the body a better chance at healing.
Gini Scott - Clinical Reflexologist
I trained extensively in the UK in 2013, achieving a level 5 diploma, which is the highest grade possible in the UK. Practicing as a clinical reflexologist I work with clients on an individual basis providing reflexology for specific conditions, and treatments can include face, hand and foot reflexology.
Since becoming a reflexologist I have also become a certified massage therapist which means that I can combine the two therapies together.
I am also a qualified teacher of The Symptothermal Method which is a fertility awareness based method. I teach women how to chart their cycle, which is beneficial for couples trying to conceive, or for women wanting a better awareness of their menstrual cycle. Usually charting is done alongside a course of reflexology treatments.
